Position Summary Join us at a pivotal moment as we modernize our technology landscape and transform how the business operates. This role will play a critical part in retiring legacy platforms and enabling modern, streamlined business processes, ensuring changes to systems, processes, and roles translate into sustained business outcomes through strong adoption and organizational readiness. We are seeking a Change Manager to lead change efforts supporting a time-bound initiative to retire legacy applications within 24 months. This role will drive change strategy, organizational readiness, communications, training, and adoption, enabling business teams to successfully transition to new systems, modernized processes, and evolving ways of working. This role partners closely with IT, product teams, and business leaders to align change with SAFe delivery (PI cycles and releases)-ensuring technology investments translate into measurable results with minimal disruption. Key Responsibilities Change Strategy & SAFe Alignment Lead and execute integrated change plans aligned to system implementation, business process modernization, and PI/release milestones Embed change into SAFe ceremonies (PI planning, sprint reviews, release readiness) to ensure alignment with delivery Readiness & Impact Management Conduct impact assessments across systems, processes, roles, and workflows Define and track readiness metrics; proactively mitigate adoption and operational risks Identify, raise, and escalate change-related risks and readiness gaps to program and business leadership, ensuring timely visibility and resolution Stakeholder Engagement Partner across IT and business units to ensure shared ownership of outcomes Build and activate a network of change champions to scale adoption Communications Work with Marketing and Communications to deliver clear, concise communications aligned to milestones and business impacts Equip leaders with messaging and tools to reinforce change within their teams Training & Adoption Enablement Partner with business SMEs, product owners, and training resources to design role-based training and enablement strategies aligned to release timing. Ensure training is practical, timely, and focused on enabling adoption of new tools and processes. Drive adoption planning, including hypercare support, job aids, and ongoing user enablement. Resistance & Reinforcement Identify and address resistance through structured interventions Lead post-go-live reinforcement to sustain adoption and stabilize operations Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 5+ years leading change within enterprise digital transformation initiatives Prosci certification preferred (or ACMP/CCMP equivalent) Experience working within SAFe or Agile delivery environments Demonstrated ability to influence across IT and business without direct authority Preferred Qualifications Experience with legacy system retirement and business process modernization Familiarity with Agile delivery tools (e.g., Azure DevOps) Experience leveraging adoption metrics to inform decisions Washington, DC metro or Chicago candidates strongly preferred Key Competencies Change strategy and execution SAFe/Agile alignment Business IT partnership Executive communication Adoption and enablement focus Process Change & Adoption: Drives alignment to new business processes, not just system usage
