Job Description

Godby Hearth & Home is hiring a full-time Installer for custom glass and home products. This is steady, year-round work with strong benefits, optional overtime in the busy season, and a close-knit team of fewer than 30 people who actually like working together.

The basics

• Pay: $20–$25/hr, depending on experience
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–5:00 PM (about 45 hrs/week), with optional weekend overtime
• Location: Indianapolis, IN
• Type: Full-time, year-round

What you'll do

• Install custom shower glass, mirrors, and door hardware in new and existing homes
• Troubleshoot and repair shower door enclosures
• Install bathroom fixtures and hardware
• Read and interpret construction blueprints and documentation
• Follow OSHA and company safety guidelines
• Use hand and power tools proficiently
• Lift up to 75 lbs on your own, and 200+ lbs as part of a team

What we're looking for

• Basic construction skills and comfort using hand and power tools
• Entry-level welcome — we'll train you on custom glass and shower door work. Prior construction, install, or skilled-trade experience is a plus, not a must.
• Able to read (or learn to read) construction blueprints
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Someone who takes ownership, solves problems as they come up, and takes pride in their work
• A reliable team player who shows up and holds themselves accountable
