KAW NATION POSITION DESCRIPTION
TITLE: LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: HEALTH DIRECTOR CONTROLLING SUPERVISOR: CHAIR QUALIFICATIONS: Must hold a valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, with at least two years of clinical experience in an outpatient or similar healthcare setting. Demonstrate strong knowledge of medical terminology, patient care procedures, and electronic medical record systems, along with excellent communication and organizational skills to effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Valid driver’s license is required to support potential travel between clinic sites or community outreach services. Exhibit cultural sensitivity and respect for Native American communities, with an understanding of the unique healthcare needs, traditions, and barriers faced by Native populations, ensuring compassionate and culturally appropriate care.
