Regional Dist Center Mgr

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this role, Regional Distribution Center Manager, are to:

• Execute warehousing operations including shipping, receiving, inventory, and storage of finished goods to ensure safety and compliance, cost management, and operational excellence;

• Enable effective execution of the Warehousing operations and related services, collaborating with respective teams to deliver agreed service levels and in full compliance with safety, quality, company policies, and legal requirements;

• Be responsible for driving operational excellence at assigned 3rd party distribution centers;

• Execute necessary actions to resolve any issues, claims or complaints involving Customer Service as needed, and prioritize actions to address resource and operational challenges;

• Develop, identify, and monitor KPI's and metrics related to warehouse operations - warehouse scorecard;

• Support process harmonization across distribution centers and warehouses;

• Monitor warehouse capacities to identify and solve potential constraints and bottlenecks in the operations;

• Analyze monthly shipping forecasts and review with assigned warehouses to plan labor needs. Ability to lead and coordinate efforts across functions to identify solutions and make necessary adjustments;

• Be responsible for managing effective development and execution to budget for their respective locations. Generate and update SOPs related to Warehouse Operations processes;

• Provide training as needed in warehouses on Bayer product requirements, systems, and procedures;

• Support manufacturing, quality, and other value-added activities as needed at warehouses.

WHO YOU ARE

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree;

• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, safety, Haz Mat, OSHA and efficiency concepts;

• Key competencies: Customer focus, strategic mindset, results orientation, collaboration, agility, conflict management, decision making, strong communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and relationship management skills;

• Knowledge of IT Systems and Tools, e.g., WMS, SAP, TMS;

• Broad based skill set and knowledge of areas such as safety, cost, reliability, and quality;

• Ability to travel outside St. Louis 20-25% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, Business, or related area;

• Minimum 8 years of experience in warehouse operations management, supply chain, logistics, and manufacturing;

• Previous multi-site warehouse/Distribution Center responsibility.

Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $90,400.00 to $135,600.00. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc. This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant's location, market data/ranges, an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
