Thebes USA is seeking a meticulous and highly organised Remote Bookkeeper to join our growing team. This is a full-time , fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from home. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated professional with a strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles. You will be responsible for maintaining our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. This role is crucial for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our company's financial data.

Responsibilities

As a Remote Bookkeeper, your primary duties will include:
* Managing all aspects of the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
* Recording day-to-day financial transactions and completing the posting process.
* Performing regular reconciliations of all bank accounts and credit cards to ensure their accuracy.
* Processing invoices, expense claims, and payments in a timely manner.
* Preparing and generating financial reports, such as balance sheets and profit and loss statements.
* Maintaining an organised and accurate system of financial records, both electronically and physically.
* Assisting with the preparation for tax filings and audits.
* Ensuring compliance with company financial policies and procedures.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
* Proven experience working as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
* A solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles.
* High proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage.
* Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
* Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines consistently.
* The ability to work independently and manage your own workload effectively in a remote environment.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* A professional accounting qualification (e.g., AAT) would be considered an advantage.
