Position Summary: Discovery is looking for a talented and passionate Salesforce Administrator to join our dynamic team. As a Salesforce Administrator, you will provide administrative and technical support for our Salesforce.com ecosystem. This role combines hands-on technical support with opportunities for professional development and growth. A Day in the Life of a Salesforce Administrator at Discovery Life Sciences: - Quality test and validate standard and custom environments.
- Manage complex user permissions and profiles.
- Manage Salesforce.com data feeds and other integrations.
- Support users in resolving day-to-day technical issues
- Create and modify custom objects and fields to support evolving business needs
Must-Have Qualifications (Education, Skills, Experience): - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2-5 years of experience in technical support and/or systems administration
- Salesforce.com Admin (ADM201) certification preferred or willingness to obtain within first year
- 1-3 years of experience with Salesforce.com as an administrator or power user
- Basic understanding of Salesforce.com functionality and best practices
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel
- Exposure to Salesforce security settings, profiles, and permission sets
- Basic data management skills including imports, exports, and data quality
- Willingness to learn Flow Builder, DevOps, Agent Force and modern Salesforce features
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to follow established processes and procedures
- Self-motivated with eagerness to learn and develop technical skills
Key Responsibilities: - Handle all basic administrative functions including user account maintenance, reports and dashboards, and other routine tasks
- Manage complex user permissions and profiles
- Create and customize objects, workflows, record types, page layouts, fields (including advanced formulas and lookups), apps, tabs, profiles, security, and approval processes
- Perform quality testing and validation of standard and custom environments
- Create and develop automation within Salesforce
- Manage Salesforce.com data feeds and other integrations
- Work with Salesforce Administration team to establish suitable processes to support administrative, development, and change management activities
- Assist in training of new users, and grow the Salesforce.com skill set across the organization
- Work independently with members of the user community to define and document development
Compensation and Benefits: Discovery Life Sciences is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices, and we strive to provide employees with total compensation packages that are market competitive. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter. The exact base pay offered for this role will depend on various factors, including the candidate's qualifications, skills, and experience. Your annual salary is only one part of your total compensation package. Other benefits include:
