job summary:
The company is seeking a hands-on Associate / Senior Associate to support the Pathology Laboratory within the TSRS organization. This role will focus on equipment management and digital imaging operations, including slide scanning, data organization, and coordination with cross-functional team members. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of supporting routine lab operations in a fast-paced environment.

responsibilities:
- Oversees day-to-day management of pathology laboratory equipment, including tracking, routine checks, and coordination of maintenance and repairs with vendors or internal teams.
- Maintains accurate equipment records, service logs, and documentation in compliance with laboratory procedures.
- Operates digital slide scanning equipment to generate high-quality whole slide images.
- Uploads, organizes, and maintains digital image files and associated metadata within designated database systems.
- Performs quality checks to ensure accuracy and completeness of scanned images and data entries.
- Coordinates with lab staff to schedule scanning activities and ensure timely data availability.
- Tracks sample and image status, providing updates to stakeholders as needed.
- Supports implementation and adherence to standardized workflows for equipment management and digital imaging.
- Assists with general lab operational tasks and other duties as assigned.
- Pathology Equipment Management
- Maintain and operate:
- Histology auto-stainers (routine staining)
- Immunohistochemistry (IHC) stainers
- Manage ~13 IHC instruments:
- Mix of Roche + Agilent systems
- Perform:
- Prime cycles
- Cleaning cycles
- Decontamination
- Coordinate with internal service teams for maintenance/issues
- Reagent & Inventory Management
- Monitor reagent levels and consumables
- Order/replenish lab supplies
- Coordinate internally for restocking
- Digital Imaging Operations
- Scan stained slides using digital scanners
- Upload and organize images into database systems
- Maintain structured digital image repositories
- Data & System Organization
- Work with:
- Digital imaging platforms
- LIMS / database systems
- Ensure proper file organization and accessibility
qualifications:
Required
- Bachelors degree with 1+ years of relevant laboratory or technical experience
Preferred
- Experience working in a pathology, histology, or biomedical laboratory setting.
- Hands-on experience with digital slide scanners or imaging platforms.
- Familiarity with database systems, LIMS, or digital image management tools.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to follow established procedures and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills and ability to coordinate across teams.
- Experience with:
