Role Description

As a Software Engineering Intern, you will join our Engineering team to build product features across backend, frontend, or full-stack applications. Depending on your project, you may work with Java, Spring Boot microservices, TypeScript, React, and AWS. You'll gain hands-on experience developing production systems, improving performance and scalability, and collaborating with experienced engineers in a fast-paced fintech environment. This internship offers the chance to make meaningful contributions to a live, high-impact product while developing the skills and confidence to grow as a professional engineer.

Core Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of backend, frontend, or full-stack applications using technologies such as Java, Spring Boot, TypeScript, React, and AWS, while supporting integration across distributed systems.
• Write clean, testable, and efficient code following team standards and guidance from mentors.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and daily standups to learn agile engineering practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, QA, and Product, to ensure smooth deployment and operation of services.
• Research and propose ways to improve system reliability and developer productivity during the replatform effort.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Proficiency in Java and an understanding of object-oriented design principles.
• Experience with TypeScript, React, or modern web development frameworks is a strong plus.
• Familiarity with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, or RDS.
• Basic understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and distributed systems.
• Exposure to version control (Git) and continuous integration tools is a plus.
• Eagerness to learn new technologies, take initiative, and collaborate in a team environment.
• Interest in fintech, blockchain, or scalable backend systems.

Requirements

• The pay for this role is $35 per hour for all U.S. remote locations.
• This role is not benefits eligible.
• The base pay range is subject to change.
