SUMMARY
Join our enthusiastic team as a Summer Camp Counselor at our vibrant aquatic facility, where every day is filled with adventure and laughter! As a counselor, you'll lead and supervise campers in a variety of activities, including swimming, games, and educational sessions. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the safety of campers in and around the water, organizing engaging group activities, and fostering a supportive and inclusive camp environment. This role offers the chance to inspire and mentor young campers, develop leadership skills, and create lasting memories in a fun and dynamic setting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
· Ensure the safety of all camp participants by enforcing the guidelines established by the Camp Director
· Respond to emergencies and provide appropriate care as needed
· Communicate and cooperate with Camp Directors and other management teams
· Organize and set up camp activities
· Model enthusiasm and positivity at all times
· Supervise groups of children- age varies from 4-15 years old
· Provide feedback, or appropriate discipline, to camp participants
· Establish professional relationships with camp participants, community residents, and co-workers
· Assume the role of Camp Director as needed or in their absence
· Participate in water activities in and around the pool
· Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum
· Must be at least 16 years of age
· Be able to work a whole camp week, Monday through Friday, 8:45 am - 3:15 pm , from Mid-June to Mid- August
· Candidate must be enthusiastic, outgoing, and have a willingness to learn
· Reliable transportation
· Must have the ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for 8 hours
· Ability to obtain and maintain a Basic Life Support Certification
· Must be comfortable in the water
Preferred
· Basic Life Support Certification
· Morning and weekday availability
· Previous experience with children
· Previous experience with people with disabilities and/or special needs
· Ability to swim and feel confident in the water with children
